The Mission

Comet Consulting help growing businesses to get the most from their Salesforce licenses, by providing consultancy services to help teams automate, streamline, and make processes even more efficient. In short, they save companies time, money and resources. Win, win win!

Their business launched in 2019 and grew incredibly quickly. With even more exciting plans for growth up their sleeves, it was time for a rebrand to reflect their new direction. They approached me to update their brand and all touchpoints, in-line with their future vision.

The Story

The guys at Comet Consulting were great to work with, and had a clear vision in mind. They knew they wanted a strong, minimalist, practical brand, and were keen to ensure their identity reflected the no-nonsense approach their clients love about working with them.

We started with a couple of brand workshops to understand the ins and outs of their industry, their history, their future vision and their unique selling points. This culminated in a presentation of different brand directions, and a swift agreement on the concept that felt most ‘them’. After a bit of tweaking, we landed on the brand you can see above - logo, colour palette, typography and graphic styling.

I’m a firm believer that tone of voice is one of the most important elements to get right in a rebrand. Great design is lovely, but without the substance, it’s tricky to keep audiences interested in your voice and your story. Working on the messaging house, USP terminology, CTAs and tone of voice guidelines brought the personality of the brand to life, and provided Comet Consulting with a bunch of boilerplate text they can use in their communications moving forward.

Client-facing touchpoints we created as part of the brand relaunch included social media assets, written case studies, a presentation template and email signatures. While also designing/copywriting/building a custom website from scratch using Webflow, and a bit of photography for team headshots thrown in for good measure.

The Takeaway

The final brand has simplicity and minimalism at its core, designed to break through the noise in Comet Consulting’s industry. Complex solutions are made relatable, copy is used concisely, and the benefits of working with a team of experienced Salesforce consultants are front-and-centre. The brand is clean, clever and straight-to-the-point, while still being recognisable and eye-catching. And we’ve created a suite of design mechanisms that allow room for future growth - including creating an additional sub-brand (Comet Apps).
